On a gray, rainy afternoon at MetLife Stadium, the Jets snapped a two-game skid by edging the Falcons 27–24 in Week 13, thanks to a clutch 56-yard field goal as time expired.

The game was tightly contested from start to finish. Atlanta appeared in control for much of the contest — they outgained the Jets 389 to 269 in total yards.Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins finished 21/33 for 234 yards and a touchdown, while running back Bijan Robinson logged 142 rushing yards and added a score.

But the Jets refused to back down. Tyrod Taylor — starting at QB — threw for 172 yards and a touchdown, and scored on a late 10-yard rushing TD to tie the game at 24-24 with about two minutes remaining. Meanwhile, wide receiver Adonai Mitchell delivered a big lift with 102 receiving yards and a 52-yard touchdown, his first of the season.

After Atlanta’s final drive stalled, the Jets — backed by a gutsy 14-yard scramble from Taylor and clutch passes to Mitchell — set up veteran kicker Nick Folk for a 56-yard attempt as the clock expired. With fans and teammates holding their breath, Folk nailed it to seal the win.

The result improves New York’s record to 3–9 on the season, while Atlanta falls to 4–8, their sixth loss in their last seven games.
